PIE Paragraphs

Aloha blogging world,

In class we have been learning about PIE paragraphs. PIE paragraphs are in writing that you CAN use for making a note for something you would like help with. Do you know what PIE stands for, t stands for POINT, INFORMATION, and EXPLAIN. We have been using PIE paragraphs to write letters to people to say that we need money for a Microchip Cat Door.

Kia Ora everyone,

On cultural day it was fun because we were going to show our things that we made from different cultures. Our class (Setoga Class) made shadow puppets from China, first we got a paper template and drew patterns and designs in them with a pencil and a ruler, we had to make sure that are close together. Now we got felt tips and went over the patterns without coloring them. Then we had to color the empty bits in between the patterns with coloring in pencils. After all that we had to cut out the pieces of the template and put them together with split pins. Split pins are pins that have a round bit at the to and at the bottom there is 2 little stubs that you poke through the paper. Then you have to take the two stubs that are together and split them.

Our astonishing assembly

Our assembly was awesome yesterday, in assembly our positions were very very strange but stunning. The groups on the left and right were diagonal, but the ones in the middle were just straight lines. First we started off with the national anthem then we got to the fun parts of the assembly. We did drama of our cultures, the cultural drama acts were going to church, dancing, boxing, karate, and rugby. Then Fehi and I sang a song called 'I want you back,' by Jackson 5. After all that we finished and the assembly turned out to be, PHENOMENAL!!

E-asTTle Testing

Kia Ora everyone,

Today we have been doing e-asTTle testing. These tests will tell me what stage I am at and what level I am at. Example (2A.) I will always be proud of my results, if it is high or low. I will always be proud because I know that I will not get the lowest score there is.

I just can't wait to get my test results tomorrow.
